Liliana Uribe, Alumni and Parent Leader Engagement Specialist, was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. Before moving to the United States in 2004, she studied for her bachelor’s degree in International Business at the Tecnologico de Monterrey and a master’s degree in Marketing at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. She also has a Community Peer Mental Health Navigator certification from the University of Washington.

Liliana has been part of the PLTI (Parent Leadership Training Institute) since 2017 when she graduated from the program along with two of her children who graduated from the CLTI (Children’s Leadership Training Institute). She is a trained phase one facilitator and has worked as a Spanish Class Coordinator and leading the PLTI alumni organization in Washington State. From her own experience, she has seen how important it is for parents and children to have a voice and believes parents should be involved in any decision being made in the government, legislation, schools, and healthcare systems. Her mission is to serve others and contribute to society by helping empower parents with knowledge and opportunities.

She enjoys reading, learning about personal growth, playing tennis, and traveling in her spare time. She loves spending time with friends, family, her husband, her three teenage children, and her two dogs “Papi” and “Camelia.”
