Frequently Asked Questions

I have questions about...

Registration & Invoicing

If you are no longer able to attend training, please contact Janine@parentswholead.org for an invoice refund or to apply your payment towards next year's training fee.
Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible, as well as other travel accommodations, to get to this year's training locations. You should also register for a zoom orientation that all attendees need to attend prior to training.

Certification Process

No. The current requirements for certification are that every applicant facilitator prepares to facilitate with an assigned team, completes a practice facilitation session in front of a National Facilitator, and receives constructive feedback from peers and National Facilitators.

Without the completion of these requirements you will either need to postpone your attendance to National Training to a year where you can commit to full attendance of the training or notify the NPLI team of your early departure on Sunday so that your practice facilitation is scheduled earlier in the day.

Email Zulema@parentswholead.org

A member of the NPLI team will meet with your Site Coordinator within 1 month of National training to notify them of all certifications or provisional certifications based on recommendations from National Facilitators. Certified Facilitators will receive proof of certification via the mailing address you provided on your registration within 3 months of National Training.

If you are applying to facilitate PLTI for the first time, we ask that you and your Site Coordinator select the phase you should facilitate based on your personal and professional experiences and skills. After successfully facilitating a cohort and with the recommendation from your Site Coordinator and NPLI Implementation Associate or Specialist , you may return to National Training and apply to certify for a second Phase.

If you will be leading your community as a PLTI Site Coordinator it is not necessary to receive Facilitator Certification. Additionally, NPLI does not recommend that a Site Coordinator serve in the dual role of Site Coordinator AND Facilitator.

If your PLTI community has identified the need for you to facilitate as a lead or back up Facilitator in the upcoming cohort, yes you may also apply to certify as a Facilitator. Please indicate in your registration that you will be serving your community in this dual capacity role. If you have already registered for training, please notify the NPLI Director of Implementation of this modification to your training registration. Email Zulema@parentswholead.org

Hotel & Transportation

NPLI has provided a list of other hotels in the area that may serve your lodging needs during National Training. Though these do not have a contracted discount, they are similarly priced. Please book your reservation with one of these additional hotels as soon as possible.
