Earlier this year, Janine received the Businesswoman Impact Award in Leadership & Community Transformation at the Young, Gifted & Black Entrepreneurial Awards in New York City.
The awards recognize “Unsung Heroes and Heroines” whose leadership, achievements, and service make a meaningful difference in their communities. Honorees represent a wide range of fields, including business, technology, healthcare, the creative arts, sports, and philanthropy.
Janine’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to service, collaboration, and community. Through her work with NPLI and the communities she serves, she helps strengthen connections, support emerging leaders, and create opportunities for meaningful change.
Her recognition was also commemorated by the New York State Senate, which adopted a resolution honoring Janine and recognizing her work in community leadership, systems change, and equity.
Janine shared that she is deeply humbled and grateful to be recognized alongside so many accomplished individuals and remains committed to leading with purpose and serving others.
