She was a pediatric nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center Babies Hospital and Director of Nursing Services at the Stamford Health Department for 34 years. Throughout her career, she has worked with people of diverse backgrounds, ages and professions within an array of disciplines and facilities to develop responsive programs based on the needs of the child, family, adult and\/or community. Her favorite group to work with are children; parents are powerful people, so she also includes parents in this \u201cfavorite group.\u201d Olga believes that children represent the only true hope of making the world a more just place. If adults truly practice what they preach and strive for consistency when relating to all other human beings, then we will leave the world a better place for children.<\/p><p>Olga loves and raises orchids because their bud to flowers stages constantly remind her of the potential for healthy families to produce healthy children and communities \u2013 which in turn will produce a healthy, strong, caring and loving nation.
