At NPLI, we see documented improvement for children, families, and communities where parents are partners and engaged in doing what is needed for their children and their neighbors to thrive. We see this despite the ongoing challenges of Covid-19 and racial injustice. The leadership of parents supports a healthier and more inclusive democracy and promotes racial equity in policy and practice.

We talk excitedly about the impact of parent leaders in their communities because we know the change it creates. For NPLI, this change-making work is rooted in strengthening the civic engagement of families to improve outcomes for children and families.
NPLI builds bridges between families, organizations, and policymakers in more than 70 communities nationwide.
We intentionally bring people together across differences of race, income, language, age, neighborhood, and partisan lines, to support positive changes for children.
