Nadine Lund, Vice Chairperson
Nadine is a native of Hawaii and moved to Colorado to complete her studies at the University of Colorado. She was motivated to enroll and graduate in the Family Leadership Institute Training (FLTI) course in 2010 because a family member was injured through sports and suffered a mild traumatic brain injury.
Nadine’s civic project was to have her local area school district adopt a sports concussion protocol to help other students and families that sustained similar injuries become aware of the challenges of concussions and obtain the necessary support and services for healing. She presented at the National Traumatic Brain Injury meeting held in Washington D.C. and testified on behalf of Colorado Senate Bill 09-133 to increase the surcharge of traffic violations and that applied moneys collected go to the Colorado Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund.
Nadine is a certified facilitator of FLTI and facilitated the adult classes of the first two-generational FLTI classes in Colorado. She served two years on the planning committee.
She was instrumental member on the team, working with state/local government agencies and community organizations to expand FLTI to10 counties throughout Colorado. Nadine continues to be passionate about families being civic engaged.
